Come on, Charles Woodson was a better college player than Peyton. Look how well he played against Nebraska in the Orange Bowl that year. Woodson is no pro slouch either. Just because someone has more NFL success, doesn't mean they were better in college. ESPN ranked the top 100 college football players of all time and Charles Woodson was 11th. Manning was not in the top ten. The rightful owner of the Heisman won it.
