The first Kern's bakery was founded in Knoxville in 1864(!) Over the years it gained enormous popularity thoroughout the southeast. Back by popular demand, Food City is now the exclusive provider of the new Kern's line - featuring white, whole wheat, honey wheat and lite wheat bread and buns.
